Our Story
Why We Started Berard Travels
We both loved traveling long before we ever thought of doing it as a business. As life got busier — with schoolwork, sports, running a household, and everything in between — we wanted something flexible that we could work on together, something that didn’t take time away from our family but added to it. Becoming travel advisors allowed us to turn our love for exploring the world into something meaningful, fun, and flexible. Now we get to help other families create unforgettable memories while building a business that fits our life — not the other way around.

1. Do I need any prior travel experience or training?
Nope! You don’t need prior travel industry experience to get started. All of your training is provided for you, and you can learn at your own pace. If you love travel, enjoy helping others, and are willing to learn, you’re already off to a great start.
2. Is this a job or a business?
This is not a traditional 9–5 job. It’s a flexible business opportunity where you work as an independent travel advisor. That means you choose your hours, your goals, and how much you want to grow — with support and guidance along the way.
3. How do I earn money?
You earn income through commissions on the travel you book — things like cruises, resorts, tours, hotels, and more. Your income depends on your effort, the amount of travel you book, and how you choose to build your business. There’s no cap on what you can earn, but there are also no guarantees — it’s based on you.
4. Is this something I can do part-time?
Yes! Many people start part-time and work around their existing schedule, family, work, school, sports, and other commitments. You can plug in a few hours a week or build it more seriously — it’s totally up to you.
5. Can couples work together as a team?
Absolutely. We do! You can work individually or as a couple, depending on what works best for you. Some couples divide tasks (one handles clients, one handles research or social media), while others tag-team everything together.

You won’t be figuring it out alone. You’ll receive:

7. How much does it cost to get started?
There is a startup cost and a monthly fee to access your training, tools, and travel systems. Pricing can change, so we go over the current options and exact details on our informational Zoom, where we can answer questions and help you decide if it’s a good fit.
8. How soon can I start booking travel?
Once you complete your initial onboarding and required training, you’ll be able to start booking travel. Some people move quickly, and others take their time — we always encourage you to go at a pace that feels comfortable and confident for you.
9. Do I have to recruit people?
The heart of this opportunity is booking travel and serving your clients. There is a team-building option available, that part is completely optional. You can focus entirely on booking travel, or you can choose to share the opportunity with others — it’s up to you.
